Deanna was encouraged to try pilates by a friend and she started taking lessons with Lucy Dunne at Biscuit Hill Pilates. She fell in love with the way Pilates made her body feel.  Deanna completed her Comprehensive Pilates certification training in 2006 through Power Pilates, under the kind and watchful eye of Kathy Van Patten. In 2007, Deanna purchased the studio from Lucy and has transformed it into a place of mind-body movement.

Deanna strongly believes that movement positively changes lives. Her training is deeply rooted in classical pilates but she believes in continuing education and has brought new movement  modalities such as the CoreAlign and Oov to the studio. Her certifications in multiple Pilates disciplines demonstrate her commitment to the practice and its effectiveness as part of an overall healthy living philosophy. Deanna’s biggest hope for her clients is that you take what you learn in her studio and apply it to your everyday life in a way that allows you to move with ease and grace.

When not in the studio, Deanna enjoys spending time outside pursuing activities such as horseback riding, mountain biking, and nordic skate skiing and gardening. Her most favorite activity is spending time with her active son.

Misti Berry
Teacher


After a car accident in 1999, Misti Martin Berry sought out pilates to strengthen and tone using non weight bearing activity. She fell in love with the physical and mental challenge Pilates provided.

After 20 years of practicing, she began studying under Kelly Kane and Deanna Busch. She is now certified in the Kane School of NYC and holds an Oov certification as well.

Misti believes a balanced body leads to a balanced mind which nourishes the spirit. Her approach is holistic, scientific, and grounded in the belief we should all feel great in our bodies. Misti nourishes your inherent inner-strength tailoring programs for your specific needs while committing to provide care that is restorative and supportive for your whole self. She integrates all 6 Pilates core principles - breath, control, mindfulness, centering, alignment, and precision- and unites each as the many groups of muscles work together to support and govern movement; achieving the Pilates goal of an integrated mind-body workout. Your workout will be dynamic and energizing; all ages and abilities are welcome.
